About Kate Cascella, LICSW
Kate Cascella is a licensed independent clinical social worker practicing in Bellingham, Washington. She helps women approach difficult times or transitions with resilience, strength, and intention.
Practicing from a strength-based lens, she utilizes a number of therapeutic modalities to achieve client goals, including mindfulness practice, interpersonal therapy, attachment-based therapy, parts work, trauma processing through Life Span Integration, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
With over ten years of experience, Kate began her career in Saint Louis, Missouri as a social worker within the child and family welfare sector. As Kate continued to work in various settings in the field, she quickly recognized the unique challenges and complexities women face in these areas, and developed a passion to ensure that women feel heard and validated.
Since her move to Bellingham in 2015, Kate committed nearly seven years to her role as a clinical social worker at PeaceHealth, focusing primarily on the childbirth center. Kate honed her expertise while working at a group therapy practice specializing in perinatal mental health. In 2022, Kate made the pivotal decision to establish her own independent practice expanding her focus beyond the perinatal period to encompass all aspects of women's reproductive mental health. She aims to empower her clients to realize their full potential with confidence and joy.
Kate continues to receive evidence-based trainings and continuing education through organizations such as Perinatal Support Washington, Perinatal Support International, and MGH Center for Women’s Mental Health to ensure comprehensive support for women at every stage of life.
